Jonnie Jiang

A BENEFIT CONCERT

On July 1, 2018, at Florence’s magnificent contemporary Maggio Theatre Opera House, Mandopop icon Jonnie Jiang (Chiang Yu Heng) will perform an unforgettable benefit concert dedicated to the Tommasino Foundation for Children.

For over 30 years, the singer-songwriter has touched the hearts of millions with his soulful ballads, love songs and sensational world concert tour performances. Since his debut recording in 1984, this talented Korean-born performer has released over 35 albums, receiving numerous awards during his illustrious career.

Jonnie’s heartwarming meeting with a young Leukemia patient in 2006 inspired him not only to help the boy with his medical expenses and education costs, but also to launch a charity that would help many other children in need. In 2008, he founded the Shanghai-based Traces of Love Foundation to carry out his mission of helping ill and underprivileged children to receive vital medical care and continue with their education.

A Malaysian tourism ambassador since 2016, Jonnie recently opened a local restaurant featuring cuisine based on his own recipes. He is also a long-time celebrity ambassador for FACE, the Fashion Association Charity Event, an organization dedicated to helping children and others in need in China. Jonnie’s drive to help all children has inspired him to dedicate a concert in Florence to benefit the Tommasino Foundation for Children, one year to the date from his first visit to this mesmerizing city.
